Life Drawing 2

This week I used charcoal. The teacher seems enthusiastic about how I've taken to life drawing and is encouraging me to try different media every week - and I've only ever used pencils and pens to draw before so I think it'll be interesting in the coming weeks!

More next week, in different materials!

Flash animation

This is an animation test I completed a few weeks ago, that was given to me by my good friends at Studio B to help me learn Flash. It's from a show called Pucca, and is my first Flash animation.

Animation Mentor - I'm in!

Last night, Animation Mentor, the prestigious online animation school, finally accepted my application! This was after a month-long agonising wait, an initial rejection (due to a misunderstanding about my role at Kingston University), and an appeal on my part! Still, it will all be worth it in the end. I expect to start in the New Year, so expect lots of animation on here from then!

In the meantime, I have just started a course of life drawing sessions, which as an animator I'm ashamed to say I haven't done before. The first was on Tuesday and I will post some drawings from it up here soon!

Thanks for reading.

Flash poster

Introducing Danny Fontaine and the Horns of Fury, my friend's band. I have just made this poster for them in Flash, for their gig in Soho this Saturday. I am also in the very early stages of developing an animated video for one of their songs. Give them a listen, even come to the gig if you're in London, I'll be there!
